Open Letter to Right

No Republicans Allowed

No Republicans Allowed

The vacuity of the Regressive mind is a terrible thing to waste. It’s your hate and greed based politics we loathe—which does not mean the same as hate, look it up in a book. You do know about books, right? As for you as a person, that’s not part of the equation. We couldn’t care less.

In fact I spent a solid 30 minutes conversing with a pair of Obama hating Teabillies yesterday morning while waiting at the car wash. They called Obama a communist and discussed in my presence, among other hateful things, how in the 60s someone would have surely assassinated him by now and expressed their fervent hope such an event would occur soon. They also discussed gun control and mentioned how they would like to give him their stores of ammo “one round at a time.” For Progressives living in Texas and other Red States this is a common experience. I pointed out Obama had extended their gun rights to permit them to carry in National parks—a point which they dismissed without any articulate response because they were constitutionally incapable. Nevertheless I remained polite—mainly because I wasn’t eager to go to jail for mopping the parking lot with their sorry asses. We advocate the evildoers of the GOP be removed from government or incarcerated for their crimes against humanity; whereas you advocate the murder of our leaders including Secretary of State Clinton and President Obama–even chanting “Kill Obama” at political rallies and organizing “prayer warriors” to pray for his death–and see no problem in doing so.

I'll try being nicer, if you'll try being smarter.

I’ll try being nicer, if you’ll try being smarter.

We are finally fighting your 30 year campaign of elitist, bigotry based policies and hateful rhetoric by responding in kind. And you–delicate flowers of humanity that you are, can’t stand having the confrontational style you have so relentlessly pursued being served back your way. Nothing is beyond the pale for the Far Right Side, but any response in kind from the left is condemned by Fox News and the Right as inappropriate and insensitive to the Right’s tender feelings. Yet, you flagrantly eschew–look it up–any adherence to standards of decorum and social niceties when attacking the left. The truth is: You have become so used to us not calling you on your SHIT that when we do you feel attacked. Get used to it. We’ve felt attacked at least since the Clinton era. In short, we’re mad as hell and we’re not taking any more of your crap.

If you want things to change, put down your racism, homophobia, misogyny, obstructionism, and utter stupidity, and behave like grownups; for we are much brighter than the lot of you and pummeling your soft spots is akin to shooting fish in a barrel. Above all, if you cannot stand the heat, get the out of the kitchen. For when it comes to your delicate feelings, frankly, Scarlett, we don’t give a damn!

Who Would Jesus Hate?

“And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1-3.

And the beast called itself GOP and written upon its seven heads are: Avarice, Cowardice, Entitlement, Homophobia, Ignorance, Misogyny, and Racism. And the meek shall cry out in agony. And the beast shall be slain by the Lamb, in their name. And the beast's name shall be erased from the minds of men forever.
